Management Plan Skills Assessment

The Management Plan Skills Assessment is the final education requirement of the CPM designation program and is designed to validate your real estate management competency. The MPSA assesses your knowledge of the concepts, technical skills, and processes involved in preparing, analyzing, and completing a property management plan following IREM standards.

There are two options to fullfilling this requirement:

  1. Traditional Written Management

  2. Plan Management Plan Skills Assessment exam course (MPSAXM)

Traditional Written Plan
Based on actual properties chosen by the candidate, the Traditional written management plan demonstrates a CPM® Candidate's knowledge of the principles taught in REIC/IREM courses and their overall experience in real estate management.

In your written plan you will demonstrate your expertise and ability to explain clearly and convincingly the options and recommendations for meeting the client's objectives and the reasoning that leads to your conclusions.  Your written plan will showcase your analytical and research skills, confirm your effectiveness as a communicator, exhibit your wide range of knowledge, and illustrate your ability to synthesize a vast range of facts and opinions into a coherent written plan.

Your submission will need to score a minimum of 700 points (out of a possible 1000 points) to pass.

For more information on the requirements for writing a traditional management plan, call REIC at 1-800-542-7342, and ask for the Handbook for Writing Your Management Plan for CPM® Admission Credit.
