REIC and NSAR Forge Partnership to Advance Professionalism in Real Estate

déc. 17, 2014

The Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC), a leader in advanced education in real estate, and The Nova Scotia Association of REALTORS® (NSAR), are pleased to announce a joint partnership to advance the real estate profession.

As a result of the relationship NSAR will be offering courses leading to both the Fellow of the Real Estate Institute (FRI) designation as well as the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) designations and certifications. These courses are offered in order to advance professionalism and enhance career opportunities.

“We are delighted to partner with NSAR and launch our programs in the Atlantic Region,” said REIC Executive Director and CEO Maura McLaren, CAE.  “The FRI designation is highly regarded and has long been the hallmark of high standards of client services, professionalism and ethics. This credential helps to advance the professional profile and marketability of NSAR members.”

Commenting on the new partnership, NSAR President David Uloth said:  “As an association, our mission is to enhance REALTOR® success through continuing professional education and maintaining high professional standards. The partnership with REIC increases our range of professional development offerings to our members who are dedicated to life‐long learning and providing exemplary service to buyers and sellers.”

“REALTORS® are looking for ways to distinguish themselves, in general, and to demonstrate their specialized services,” stated REIC Director of Education and Business Development Lesley Lucas. “NAR specialty courses are a recognized, reputable and practical way to obtain that additional differentiation.  The addition of NAR courses to REIC’s catalogue will encourage real estate professionals to continue their path of professional development.  We’re excited that NSAR has scheduled the Seniors’ Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) course in February 2015 as its first course offering under the new partnership. This course develops the business building skills needed for specialization in the growing 50+ real estate market.”
