This two-day intermediate level course will teach you how to develop a first rate property maintenance program and manage various types of risk.

This highly charged course guides students through the detailed process of creating and using property management plans, and provides an opportunity to demonstrate mastery of what has been learned on the job and in the classroom. In this course, students will complete activities required to create a management plan with supplied data, while using and reviewing the financial calculations, management and marketing skills taught in other REIC courses. Pre-requisite REIC 2350: Finance in the Real Estate Context

The MPSA (Management Plans Skills Assessment) is an opportunity to finish the CPM education requirements by exam, instead of a management plan. The MPSA program is a substitute two-day examination as an alternative to writing a management plan. This comprehensive program is composed of a two-day prerequisite course, IREM BDM 602 - Writing & Using Property Management Plans, followed by two days of exams assessing the students' ability to write a management plan.  Once this has been completed, students will be required to complete the CPM Certification Exam.
