QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Your CRF is dedicated;
Becoming a CRF is not easy. It is a demanding process during which real estate finance professionals may pass through a candidacy period of up to five years.
Your CRF is experienced;
CRF members must be active specialists in the practice of real estate finance with a minimum of five years of mortgage finance experience.
Your CRF is knowledgeable;
CRF members have completed a number of real estate courses. These include Ethics and Business Practice, Real Estate Investment Analysis, Real Estate Law, Real Estate Valuation, Finance in the Real Estate Context, and Elements of Mortgage Management. In addition they must have successfully completed a Real Estate Finance Case Study.
Your CRF is a reputable, active member of the real estate community;
CRF members have gained the endorsement of and are affiliated with their local REIC Chapter, and abide by the Institute's stringent code of ethics.
Your CRF is committed;
To maintain their designation, CRF members must remain in good standing with their local REIC Chapter and REIC National, and abide by the REIC Code of Professional Standards (PDF, 71KB). They are also encouraged to participate in the Institute's continuing education program.
