IREM HRS402: Developing Human Resource Essentials for Real Estate Managers
Course Description:
This intermediate level, two day course is designed to cover 10 essential elements of dealing with employees and managers. Subject areas include: managing managers, leadership style, delegation, decision-making, brainstorming and creativity, problem-solving, temporary employees, contractors and consultants, developing compensation plans, employee planning and using computers.
Each lesson is prefaced by key concepts and learning objectives, which guide the students and enable them to self-assess their own leadership styles. A summary and key actions are provided at the end of each lesson, and sources of additional reading are suggested. The information and ideas presented are designed to fit a variety of situations, and group work is encouraged.
The course is available in both classroom and home study formats.
