Casavant, Pierre 1956 - 2010 Trop subitement, le 6 août 2010, est décédé notre cher amour Pierre Casavant, fils de feu Gabrielle et Maurice Casavant. Il laisse dans une infinie tristesse son épouse Suzanne Girard et sa fille chérie Sophie. Sont aussi dans la peine ses soeurs: Michelle (Gilles), Denise (Jérémy); son frère Jean-Marc (Sophie); ses beaux-frères et belles-soeurs: Michèle (Marc), Laurenne (Richard); ses nièces et neveux; ainsi que plusieurs parents et amis. FITZSIMMONS, Alex (President A.H. Fitzsimmons Real Estate Co.) (Founded 1878) A remarkable 3rd generation Ottawan who left an indelible mark on the lives of people he touched and in the community in which he lived died peacefully while surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday afternoon, May 19th, 2010. Alexander Henry Fitzsimmons of Orleans at the age of 78 years. Dear son of the late Clayton Fitzsimmons and the late Marguerite Kuntz. Devoted husband and best friend of Yvonne (Nee Pilon). Proud and loving father of Clayton (Linda) of Nepean; Mary-Ann Legault (Francis) of Ottawa; Jennie Fitzsimmons-Kendall (Malcolm) of Vancouver; Jim Fitzsimmons (Darlene) of Toronto; Bill Fitzsimmons (Penny) of Orleans; Nicole Davoudi (Frank) of Ottawa and Tammy Mainville (Derek) of Thunder Bay. Cherished "GrandDad" of Alicia, Alexander, Julia, Isabelle, Jacques, Callum, Duncan, Griffin, Abigail, Amelia, Anna, Lauren, William, Mekayla, Ava, Brandon, Joshua and Ryan. Alex is also survived by his brother, Harry Fitzsimmons (Janet) and his 2 sisters: Mardie-Ann Green (late Stuart) and Lynda Fitzsimmons, all of Ottawa. Wonderful uncle of many nieces and nephews. Alex will be dearly missed by his canine companion, Lady. Strong, smart, loyal and devoted are but a few of the words that describe Alex and the life he lived. He was an entrepreneur and a risk taker and he built a business which became one of Ottawa's best known and trusted names in real estate. He was Past President of the Real Estate Institute of Canada; Past President Ottawa Real Estate Board; Past National Chairman, Institute of Real Estate Management (Canada). He also held many other prestigious titles during his career which spanned over 5 decades. A committed Ottawa Senators fan and Carleton Ravens basketball alumnus fan, Alec will also be remembered for his love of sports which included being a regular cheerleader at his children and then grandchildren's sporting events. Above all else, Alex loved his family and we knew it. He was an incredibly "big presence" in our lives and he will be missed. Friends may join us for visitation at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St. Joseph Blvd., Orleans on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. only. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Divine Infant Church, 6658 Bilberry Drive, Orleans on Wednesday morning, May 26th at 11 o'clock. Cremation will follow. For those wishing, a donation made to your favorite charity would be appreciated by Alex family. MOLNAR, John Joseph - BA, FRI, CPM, CRP, PRA

President J.J. Molnar Realty Advisors Inc. It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Molnar announces his passing Saturday, August 29, 2009. John died at home surrounded by those who loved him. Left to mourn are his loving wife of 37 years Gail (nee Balsillie); beloved children: Jonathan Adam (Danielle), Beth and Laura; and Papa’s precious grandsons Issaac and Samuel. John will be greatly missed by his mother, Sophia, Brantford, ON; by his siblings William (Jill), Victoria, BC; Peggy (Ken) Noble, St. Catharines, ON; brothers-in-law Larry and Ken Balsillie; and many nieces and nephews. His father, John Joseph Molnar Sr. made this journey previously. John was a highly regarded member of the business communities of Hamilton and Toronto. John liked to toot his own horn (the saxophone) with several local musical groups, including the Top Hat Marching Orchestra, Peter Banting Swingtet and more recently the Shrine Oriental Band.

John was a dedicated member of REIC, serving on the National Board of Directors for two years as well as numerous committees. John was a prominent fixture in the Lakeshore Chapter. He played a key role in merging the Lakeshore and Niagara Chapters, which recently formed the REIC Lakeshore-Niagara Chapter. Our Institute, and by extension the entire real estate profession are all better thanks to John's contributions and presence.

John will be missed by all who knew him.

 

LOADES, George Wellington, FRI CMR

George Wellington Loades, beloved husband of Ann Loades of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the age of 68 years.

Along with his loving wife of forty-six years, George is also survived by his children, Patricia Loades of Calgary, David and his wife, Dawn of Didsbury, AB, Kristine and her husband, Toby Couchman of Houston, TX, and David’s first wife Lynda Loades of Carseland, AB; seven grandchildren, Catherine Loades of Carsland, AB, Adam and Elizabeth Loades of Didsbury, AB, and Zachary, Shelby, Alexander, and Victoria Couchman of Houston, TX; brothers, Mac Loades and his wife, Elaine of Viking, AB and Gregg Loades and his wife Sharon of Sherwood Park, AB, as well as both of their families. George was predeceased by his nephew Daniel Loades in 2008, and his parents, Clara Loades in 2006 and Albert (Curly) Loades in 2007

Funeral Services will be held at First Alliance Church (12345 – 40th Street S.E.) on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

In living memory of George Loades, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES

George was a long standing member of the Real Estate Institute of Canada and an active member of the Calgary Chapter. He served as REIC Governor (now known as National President) during the 1983-84 term. On September 23rd, 2009 George was slated to receive his 30 year anniversary pin from REIC during a chapter event.

His dedication, character and good-will will be missed.
