2008 - Should be Great!

 

2007 is rapidly drawing to a close with 2008 about to take centre stage. What will the New Year bring for REIC?  We can only guess but as always there are the goals that one always wants to conquer. My personal goal is that I really would like the organization to eclipse the 2000 member mark and stay above that well into 2009.

 

Word of mouth is always the best plug for an organization, so tell your colleagues about us and help REIC move one step closer to that magic number.

 

With 2008 upon us the new Course Catalogue is now available and has been given a healthy revamp. It is always good to change things up once and awhile and I feel the new look will help refresh the Institute's image within the industry and hopefully help recruit some new members.

 

It’s hard to believe that the 2008 REIC Annual Meeting is only 5 months away. I have to tip my hat off to the Committee who are doing a wonderful job in obtaining sponsors for the event.  I urge them to continue with their great work. I also urge each and every one of you to attend the event in late May to help make it a smashing success. Registration forms should be available early in the New Year – in addition we have been able to secure discount flights with WestJet for the week of the conference. All this information can be found at the REIC website on the AGM page.

 

The education enrollment numbers continue to be healthy, yet there is always room for more. Anyone who is just a course or two away from earning your designation register now and get even closer to becoming a full member within REIC. Be sure to check on this often as the 2008 schedule continues to take shape and new courses are being added all the time.

 

In closing I wish to take this opportunity to thank all of you for making 2007 a great year. Our members are what define our organization, and on behalf of all of the national staff I wish each of you a very healthy and happy holiday season.

 

I look forward to working with you to make 2008 even better.
