Earn the GRI.C Designation

​The Graduate of the Real Estate Institute of Canada (GRI.C) is designed to set you apart from the rest in the competitive real estate industry by enhancing your knowledge of technical and fundamental real estate skills.

Grounded in five essential competencies - ethics, pricing, buying, selling, and negotiating - the GRI.C equips early and mid-career professionals with the practical skills and confidence to thrive in an ever-evolving market.

Pre-requisites: Real estate professionals who hold a valid real estate license and are a REALTOR®.

Apply for the GRI.C designation

GRI.C Program

To obtain the GRI.C designation you must complete the following:
​

REIC2600: Ethics in Business Practice
PSA: Price Strategy Advisor *
ABR
®: Accredited Buyer's Representative *
SRS: Seller Representative Specialist *
RENE: Real Estate Negotiation Expert *

A Fast Track Pathway is available for GRI.C applicants who have taken qualifying NAR® courses.

The GRI.C Program takes the typical applicant 12-18 months to complete. You have 5 years to complete the program requirements for designation.
Cost
If the program is completed within a year, it will cost the typical applicant who has been accepted into the GRI.C program approx. $4,035 ** plus taxes.
This is inclusive of the application fee and all required courses.


** Cost is based on NAR® courses taken through REIC. Prices for NAR® courses offered by alternative institutions may alter the total cost.

GET STARTED

Prior to applying, you must meet GRI.C admission requirements - hold a valid real estate license and be a REALTOR® in good standing. We also strongly recommend attending an REIC Information Session where we will guide you through what you need, the process, and answer any questions you have.

APPLY

Complete the application package to apply for the Designation Program. Once your application is approved and you have accepted the REIC Code of Professional Standards, you can begin your journey to designation.​​

REQUIRED EDUCATION

You must successfully complete and pass the following courses:
REIC2600, PSA, ABR, SRS, and RENE
Pass the GRI.C designation exam.

ACHIEVE DESIGNATION​

You will receive your designation certificate, GRI(C) pin and an Associate REIC Membership after all requirements have been met. ​
