REIC Launches Updated Financial Designations

We’re excited to announce the launch of our newly updated finance designations: CRP, CRF, and CRU. These refreshed credentials feature new, modernized course pathways developed in collaboration with the University of British Columbia (UBC) Sauder School of Business. 

Notably, the CRU designation - previously unavailable in Canada for some time - is now once again accessible to Canadian professionals, offering an important opportunity to pursue this respected credential with updated academic grounding. 

Widely recognized across the industry, the CRU, CRF, and CRP designations set professionals apart through proven financial proficiency and responsibility. Employers, clients, and stakeholders recognize these credentials as benchmarks of advanced knowledge, ethical practice, and applied financial competence. With UBC’s academic partnership embedded into the curriculum, these designations now offer stronger alignment between academic rigor and real‑world application—ensuring holders are equipped to make informed, responsible financial decisions in increasingly complex environments. 
As of May 1st, all new applicants into these programs will follow the updated CRP, CRF, and CRU course pathways.
