May 1, 2026

It’s official! The REIC Next student contest, presented by REMAX, is now accepting entries until May 31.
REIC Next is a national student pitch competition to give students the opportunity to showcase their ideas and perspective while trying to answer pressing issues about the state of the real estate industry.

We are looking for students who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution to submit a 30-90 second video pitching their solutions to one of the following questions:

Policy/Future of Housing
If you were Prime Minister, what legislation would you introduce to meaningfully improve housing affordability in Canada?

Property Management
How could property managers navigate conflicting interests between tenants, owners, and investors better?

Finance/Investment
What financial solutions or products would make homeownership more attainable and accessible for Canadians?

Sales
How would you build and maintain trust with buyers and sellers in today's real estate environment?

A finalist per category will be chosen with 1 overall winner.

For full details, visit the REIC Next Student Competition page.

We can't wait to hear what the future real estate professionals have to say!
