Becoming an REIC Member

REIC Membership is earned through designation. Professionals start as candidates by pursuing an REIC designation and advance to a full membership by completing and maintaining their chosen REIC designation – demonstrating experience, expertise, and adherence to the Institute’s Code of Professional Standards.

​REIC and IREM designations are nationally recognized and represent a commitment to professionalism and ethical excellence across the real estate industry.

How to Become a Member

Select a designation

The first step to becoming a member is to select a designation program. You can select from a range of programs to find the one that best suits your career goals. 

Apply to your chosen designation

Application forms are available on each designation page. After submitting your application, you will be notified by an REIC Team member once it has been approved.

REIC’s online Career Centre provides Members with job postings on current career positions across Canada. The job posting service is half-price for companies that have an REIC Member on staff.
