ARM - Accredited Residential Manager

Earn the ARM Designation

​The ARM® (ACCREDITED RESIDENTIAL MANAGER®) is designed specifically for those who are in the early stage of their career managing residential properties. It demonstrates that you've mastered core competencies in resident relations, leasing, maintenance, risk management, and budgeting. competencies. 

​You must have a minimum of one (1) year of qualifying real estate management experience.

​The ARM® program covers topics such as: minimizing vacancies, controlling property costs, enhancing property values, and fulfilling owner objectives.

ARM Program

To obtain the ARM® designation you must complete the following:
​

REIC2600: Ethics in Business Practice
RES201: Successful Site Management
OR
CID201:
Successful Condominium Management
OR
MXD201: Managing Mixed-Use Properties
ARM

The ARM® program will take the typical candidate 6-12 months to complete.
Cost
It will cost the typical candidate who is accepted into the ARM program approx. $4470 plus taxes.
This cost is Inclusive of the application fee, candidate dues, and all required courses.

Admission Requirements: What do I need to apply?

Education
  • REIC may recognize experience-based learning in place of formal educational qualifications as well as non-formal learning which is learning that is undertaken through a structured program but does not lead to a formally recognized qualification
  • Provide proof of any real estate education, training or designation programs that you have completed throughout your career
Experience
  • Cover letter and resume highlighting your experience and any experience-based or non-formal learning as required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience or residential management listed on the ARM® Experience Form. Your experience qualifies you if you are/were in a real estate management position, managed a minimum portfolio, and performed a minimum number of functions. View portfolio and function requirements.
Expertise
  • Minimum of 1 reference letter (to confirm industry experience and number of years licensed)
  • 2 letters of recommendation (from peers, colleagues, and/or clients)
  • Accolades, and/or awards of excellence received pertaining to your career

APPLY

Complete the application package to apply for the Designation Program. Once your application is approved and you have accepted the REIC Code of Professional Standards, you will become an REIC Candidate and begin your journey to designation.

REIC2600 and RES201 or CID201,or MXD201, ARM® Certification Exam
